Lady Faith

See it in her eyes
Lost, disenchanted, still a naïve child
No longer does a tear find her cheek
For if one dare fell, after so many rivers
She would fade and flow away

Truth of love
Lies in her old Irish heart
And with many fierce dragons
She has fought the fine battle
Only to lose the war after all

And now she is a ghost, per say
Whose words never seem to be heard
Who walks among the ancient ones
Standing proud in her armour
Burning pathways for her young
Praying better days find them
Prepared to stand and defend always
Holding faith in love __ her sceptre held high
