Forget Me Not

When the night is cold and lonely
Don't be far in your thoughts of me
I may be by your side, my one, my only
On your solitaire walks by the sea

On a mountain hillside filled with flowers
I'll be there in the wind and the trees
Away from all crowds, looking down from the clouds
With a warm smile to brighten your needs

It's so sad to depart from our loved ones
But we know and perceive it must be
When your sails are full out on the ocean afar
Take comfort in thinking of me

When the day fails after all of your efforts
Hold your chin up in strength, take the lead
Ponder a while, catch your breath, hold a smile
Then rise up and give 'em hell for me

I'll be there in trials of the heart love
Forget me not on days of your grief
May cherubs and angels encircle your heart
And a halo of love, bring rest__and peace
