UPON THIS BLUE SEA
Upon this blue sea
The hovering gull awaits me
Sitting on a perfect pebble beach
The onshore wind finds me
Pale pink and grey pebbles within reach
The gull cresting the pebble ridge
Finds me
Sitting by the blue sea
The sky is now turning
The sun,no longer burning
Gentle hint of darkening blue
The pink clouds see it too
The day is too short for such beauty
For the night now cries out
The gentle roar of sea
at last light
The darkening sea
Losing the blue
Deep green and grey
To end this day
Night coming too
Upon this sea
The hovering gull awaits me
Such pure white
Touches the shore
Inside
My heart tore
Slowly dying light
The sea, takes me into the night
The gulls wheel and turn
The sun
Cannot burn
The gentle crashing of sea
on the pebble shore
The gulls roam
The inner me....tore
I have come home
The coming of the night
Red cloud delight
The deep green and grey
has replaced
The sea of the day
The gulls flying
at sunset
This could be me
Hovering upon the sea
Crashing white foam
in to the last light
The sun
No longer burning
Pink and red sky returning
One day soon.........
I,too.......
will be a gull
Hovering above the blue
Among the sunset sky
There flies a gull............
That could be you or I
The clouds have turned a fiery red
The gulls slowly pass by
The coming of the night
Last chance to fly
In the last evening light
The gulls have it all........
Wings.........
Wind off the sea.........
A pebble beach.........
Always in reach
Sea of blue.........
and they know it too
