Mindscape Poem 2013. Robin Ouzman Hislop

DCFC0135 300x225 Mindscape Poem 2013. Robin Ouzman Hislop

Mindscape (i.)

A life

in the day of

far away and never

coming back

The fenced off

membrane interacts

symbiotic and chaotic

Evanescent traces

mindscapes of emotion

and their transits

Sketched on

the breaking edge

the boundaries receding

the vanishing feeling,

a mere duration.

Mindscape (ii)

Flashing past in a car window

leprous in resinous glow,

winter lichen on the pine

seeping mist through fine rain.

Light, speed, friction combine

as if to give birth to another life,

yet concealed within its strife.
