Before you judge me
do you know where I have been?
Payment has been duly paid
in a lifetime
loss
soaked pillows
emotions
have been through
the wringer
on long nights
nights which have prepared me for this time
… this outpouring
the Atlantic
knows well the content of her waters
as Titanic knows its self in crested shoals
all picked pristine by timebefore you judge me
do you know why I act so
why I keep my heart
at beats outside
her ship of many
on solitary, trodden paths
before…just beforeOh
self pity left these doors
many a moon agoI reside on life
nature
rivers
mountains
oceans
bears
deer
dogs
cats
trees
the birds
yes…and the bees
simplicity at its bestbefore you judge me
gaze into the wells of these, my eyes
I am an ocean of emotion
a bomb
needing only one micro-drop of nitro
… to ignite
BOOM!
