The Old Hollow Tree

Few espied old hollow tree
that did conceive a child
one summer's night
past three and thirty years
A faux pas of naïve youth
that I
dare dream
so near-at-hand
the heart
of lost love
in that hollow
By-passed
seasons
left behind
then cast me off
the line
of love
Now
at old hollow
I rest a dream
in soft hushed love's
bittersweet resign
Forever dreamers sing
fare thee well
lost heart
of mine
