Face in the World

Somewhere, there's a place from where you watch--
in rooms of the heart, and shadows of mind.
You come without knowing, in teary eyes,
and brush my sensations from high above.

Yet, falling, as I try,
life's entanglements hold me firm in place __
I have no face, and a name, is a small thing.
But tomorrow, I'll turn away again,
completing the circle a thousand times,
looking to those who were never mine,
and continue a journey, hearts often do __
     tending a garden __ I never knew.
