Believe with me an island
where no one ever goes;
see with me a charnel house
where music never grows.
Hear with me a story
of endless broken souls.
Touch with me the heartache
then escape to sandy shoals.The end grows nearer friend.
Bury me in the sand,
that I may never hear the screams,
the anguish of the damned.
The sun shines brighter child;
bestow on me your fear
that I may live beyond your death,
my childhood ever near.
My heart grows ever stronger,
soul, that echoes through the climes,
so one day soul shall know the fear
that grows within each chime.My grave will be forgotten,
my body pass away.
Beneath each tear will echo
the passing of the day.
Within my darkened coffin
a warmth will still shine bright:
the residue of childhood,
a star on darkest night.Yours shall be the glory,
mine only the light.
Yours shall be the knowledge
I shine while others fight.
Yours shall be the overpass
where no one ever goes,
believe with me an island,
and redeem the path I chose.
