Alicia's Poem

he pays particular attention
to the female wound in my body
he must think he's the first man
ever to have discovered it
he must think he can cure it
by his incessant attention
he must think he's Dr God or something
but I'm not complaining
although he can't cure the wound
he takes away some of the pain
