Stewart, Florida was witness
to another new account
of a woman in medical need.

Emergency Medical Technicians
were summoned in August to a home
with a grossly overweight woman

But not only were the doorways
too narrow
for this four foot ten
four hundred eighty pound woman,
but
she had not moved from her couch
in several years.

The fabric had adhered to her skin.

They transported her
and the couch
to the hospital, but
she died
during their attempts to free her.
