This a the starting idea of the never-ending
FANTASY book
"BETTY BIMBO & THE GUMBALL PHANTOM" You
do not have to wait for the
starting chapters to be completed to work on a
chapter of your own. Each chapter is a complete fantasy
story of your own (OR) a continued chapter
of Betty searching for and sending an android
back. Send yours to me at
any time. To save time you only have to know that the first two books were only about how
Betty came here as part of her family's continuing mission to find and return the strange,
chemically mixed androids and the second book being how she met the gumball phantom
and the first adventure of finding the cyclops.

THE FAUCET
By Kevin Morrison
"A long time ago there
was a wealthy philanthropist. He did his
best to help those in need and was well
loved by all. One night, as he sat before
the fireplace lost in thought, a knock came
at the door. The hour was late and the
servants had all gone home. The man went
to the door and found four tiny men
standing there. Not one was more than five
inches tall.
'Please don't be alarmed, ' said one with
a long gray beard. 'We need your help.'
"The man invited them into the house.
They looked tired and hungry. When the
little men had eaten and were rested, the one
with the gray beard began to tell this story.
'We had a runner travel the world to
give us a warning of a great danger to the
human race, ' he said. The man listened
attentively.
The little man continued. 'Somewhere, a
small faucet has had the handle broken. No
one can turn it off. The water continues to
run and will eventually flood the world
and destroy all life on this planet if you
don't help us to find it.'
"The man thought for a moment and said,
'Of course I'll help. I'll do whatever I can.'
"The little man went on. ' The runner
came from South America. That's where
you must start. We just don't have the
resources to get around the world and search
like you have. Here's a signal horn we use
to call each other.'
"The miniature man handed him a small
horn the size of a walnut and then they
departed. For the next two months, the man
searched through every nook and cranny of
the jungles of South America. Finally, he
came to the Amazon river before getting an
answer to the little horn. When another
group of tiny people answered the call, the
man was very disappointed to learn that the
runner who brought the message was
from Australia.
"Off the man went to the Northern
territory of Australia where the Aborigines
still believed in mysticism and insight from
the dream-time of centuries past.
After nearly half a year, he found
another group of little people, but with
information the same as before. They had
gotten the message from South Africa. Off
went the man again. On and on; more time
and more money. From country to country,
continent to continent, he traveled, always
with the same results. Each time he found
that the message was from elsewhere.
"After a few years, the man was very
tired and running low on funds. He went
home to rest and wait. Maybe the little ones
would come back to him and have more
information.
"One night, he was gazing into the fire
deep in thought. Suddenly, like turning on
a light in his skull, the answer came to
him. Nature had already solved his
problem. Since the little men were very
tiny, the broken faucet had to be smaller.
Even running full blast, it would be no
more water than a sparkling brook filling
up from the melting snow in the mountains,
or a warm, refreshing summer rain to
nourish the plants in the fields. The danger
had been perceived from a very small
viewpoint, and the quest had been taken up
without thought, all in the name of humanity.
However, humanity was once again provided
for by nature."
