Easter poem by Pen Chant

in my mañana town it’s
a bright bright sunny sunny day
turn around look around
all the bunnies of easter
hide their hats full of joy
knowing the danger of display on this day
thank goddess
they did not take our equinox away how can they
due East is still due West depending on stance
Continental Divides Waters always
baptism in all forms
sailing clouds
misty fog
gentle rain
thundering rain
sleet snow
roaring cold mountain streams
beans soaking in hot water
salsa is as salsa does
sweet bread takes the sting out
if this is a holy day of celebrations
celebrate the bedside nurses’ aides
it is they
who will shed God’s tear
in our passing.
